Satsang of Sri Guru Maharaj
Last Friday 30th December in the evening a devotee visited Sri Guru Maharaj and on the request of another devotee started reciting Srimahamrityunjay mantra.
Sri Guru Maharaja heard the entire recitation. Upon completion, the devotee asked him, "Maharaj, how was the chanting?"
Sri Guru Maharaj said, "bring it into practice". (i.e. mere recitation of mantras is not enough; one needs to thoroughly understand the meaning and continuously remember and practice it.)
Addressing that devotee after a while, he again said, "Do penance - do it in such a way that no one knows, even parents should not know."
Then another devotee asked, "Maharaj, kindly say something about Japa. How should I do Japa?"
Sri Guru Maharaj answered saying, "Love everyone". (i.e. the main goal of Japa is to establish the mind in love for beings).
