‘The western coast of the holy Ganga is as good as the land of Varanasi'. Since times immemorial eternal truth has been brone by the eternal religion of the Bharat, like the ever flowing water of the Ganga. The Bharitya soil has been purified by the glorious deeds of its great sons. Brahmachari Yogiraj Balananda Maharaj manifested himself in his full glory at Baidyanath Dham (Deoghar). Revered Srimat Tarananda Brahmachari Maharaj spent long 14 years under the guidence and care of Sree Sree Balananda Maharaj and successfully accomplished his devotional ends. He established the 'PREM MANDIR (Temple of Love)' on the western coast of the Ganga in Rishra, Hooghly, W.B. in the bengali year 1340 (1933 A.D.) as per the order of his mentor. His chief was to propogate religion and spirituality and serve humanity. At present, attempts are being made to execute the tasks of Prem Mandir through 2 independent organisations (i) Religious activities through Prem Mandir Ashram and (ii) Welfare activities under the supervision and guidance of Sree Sree Sreemad Devananda Brahmachari Maharaj (The Adhyaksha) through Prem Mandir Janakalyan Samiti. These 2 organisations are devoted and dedicated to the over all welfare of the society. Everybody's generous co-operation to this effect is earnestly solicited.
